Most of the citizens of
the desire kingdom
Are unlawfully lawful
In their thoughts and actions
different
To earn their livelihood
social or personal.
They are born and brought
up
In the hot and temperate
zone
Of thirst and hunger,
greed and jealousy,
Dire necessity and
paralyzing poverty.
They all belong to
irrespective
Of cast, colour and
creed.
They very often forget
To maintain unity in
diversity.
Desires for acquiring
knowledge and wisdom
And character building
and honest living
Are noble and praise worthy.
Desire for love making is
instinctive
Desire for name, fame,
pomp and power.
And pride of money is
destructive.
Desires for playing
sports and games
And desire for seeking
great souls
Are all progressing
Desires for career
building and body building
Are encouraging.
Desire for luxury living
In palatial building is
imitating.
All these desires belong
to
The dynasty of material
desires
That come through certain
Mistaken conception
About the purpose of
life.
But desire for seeking
God
Who is the answer in
every desire of heart
Through prayer and
meditation
Is superior to all
powers.
The glory of God is
great.
He is real and he is the
only object of life.
Whenever anyone fails to fulfill
his desire
He turns to God for his
blessings
The constant effort to find
God
Will banish all sorts of
material desires.
Only the divine quality
of good desires
Can protect every one
without multiplying
Troubles and
difficulties.
Neither positive nor
negative nor infectious desires
Can possess anybody else
if he feels
God’s presence within
always.
Desire looks like
Sapphire
That spreads the pearls
of hopes and aspirations
Good or evil.
Be aware of them to live
a divine life
In this land of the
living
Full of troubles and
difficulties.
Though it is known—
Nothing can develop without
Perfect desire.
